Francois Poisson has re-created Ultima 3 using RPG Maker MZ (or as much of it as possible within the limitations of said game engine). The remake is not available as a standalone application, and so will require RPG Maker MZ in order to run.

As of late July of 2026, the good Mr. Poisson has released version 1.0.3 of the remake, after releasing the initial completed version in March of the same year. Ultima: Exudos includes complete world maps for both Sosaria and Ambrosia, as well as other notable regions and points of interest from Ultima 3 (such as Lord British’s castle). The game’s complete plot, including the requirement to obtain the Mark of Kings before progressing into higher experience levels, has also been implemented, and players will find the world populated with monsters and NPCs alike.
